Did you know a linear calendar can help when other ways to visualise the year cause you to lose track of time? Read on to get our thoughts on why a yearly calendar with months arranged in lines is useful.
This one-page calendar for year 2021 with its months in lines is meant to be a quick but powerful overview.
It doesn’t take up a lot of space at all on your wall and the design is on the minimalist side, partly to offer an unintrusive look, fonts hopefully appealing to more than one gender, and an almost blank canvas for you to let your inner artist loose on, should you so desire.
Sundays are coloured in the lightest of greys.
Tips How To Put It In Action
The calendar provides the option to cross off or colour in the days that are gone. On clustered calendars, focus is more on a month at time, while the internal progress isn’t as single-lined as on this calendar. It’s all about perception and some of us may benefit from sensing time as a line instead. Crossing off days in single file along an x axis of sorts creates exactly this, whilst the months progress in another single file along the y axis of the page.
Maybe you use colour coding to keep track of milestones and deadlines? Or perhaps it’s a convenient way to assess your mood in addition to showing you the progress of time?
And how about weeks? Would you like to add a little number into or next to the box when a new week begins in your part of the world: Mondays or Sundays?
It was an active choice to leave these numbers out, since this particular calendar is about our sense of time mostly. If you prefer an option with weekly numbers, take a look at our 2021 Calendar With Months In Clusters instead.
