Mindset Can Hold Entrepreneurs Back
This is not to say that the entrepreneur is the problem, but the entrepreneur can indeed create obstacles themself that become success blockers. Mindset affects everything in our daily lives, and contemporary neuropsychology teaches us that whatever we tell ourselves, repeat internally, and believe about ourselves becomes our truth. If that message includes incompetence of some type, that is how we will behave. If we on the other hand say that something is hard, but we can figure it out, that will become what we believe and how we behave as a result. Powerful stuff!

Change Is Hard But Possible
Self-development and personal growth of the leader are key to a firm becoming more successful over time, and unfortunately there are no quick fixes or work-arounds.
Self-work is uncomfortable at best, and both upsetting and emotionally draining at worst, so if you think talking to a therapist or similar could help unlock things for you, when there are enough funds, I recommend this outside perspective. When money is scarce, we can do “micro therapy” by seeking out reputable sources in social media, engaging with their research-based content, and prime ourselves slowly through bite-sized ideas for deeper work later on.
If we on the other hand feel wobbly, but mentally stable, once finances are a less acute issue, business coaching could be another route. Life coaches, who offer different types of business coaching, should adhere to the ethical guidelines set by the International Coaching Foundation, which means you can seek out a shorter or longer programme depending on your needs, then implement changes much faster with the help of the coach facilitating your progress.
And if inviting others into your business isn’t an appealing thought, you can check with your library whether they have anything interesting to shake things up a bit. YouTube shows and podcasts can do the same in video and audio format, if that is your preference.
They key point to this roundup post is accountability to yourself and your firm. What does your business need from you to grow stronger?
